Help Bring a Neighborhood Library Back to Mountain View
Please join Friends of the Library and the Anchorage Library Foundation at a special fundraiser for the Mountain View Branch Library on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 4:30 – 8:00 pm at the MTS Gallery (3142 Mountain View Drive). This fun event kicks-off the local campaign to raise at least $500,000 to purchase books, magazines, videos, furniture, computers and other equipment for the Library. It is co-hosted by Mayor Mark Begich, Senator Bill Wielechowski, Representative Max Gruenberg and Assembly Member Allan Tesche. Construction on the new 10,000 square-foot library and community room will begin later this winter. The new Library will go back into the building at the corner of Bragaw and Mountain View Drive. The building will be renovated inside and out and a new community room will be added. You can also donate online by clicking on the “How You Can Help” button on this site.
