Fall busy time for Friends of the Library
Don’t miss the flurry of public events Friends of the Library is hosting this fall. Alaska author Jane G. Haigh is the featured speaker at the Friends annual meeting Wednesday, Oct. 10, 6-8pm, in the Ann Stevens Room, Loussac, level 3. An historian from Fairbanks, Haigh wrote Gold Rush Women, Gold Rush Dogs, and Kin Con: The Story of Soapy Smith. At 7pm, Haigh will discuss her latest book, Searching for Fannie Quigley, following the short FOL business meeting which includes awards for supportive sponsors and volunteers with 250 hours.
